Glenn Herrmann MD FACS is Founder and President of Coal Creek Plastic Surgery. Dr. Herrmann has been providing care to patients for over 20 years and has served on multiple physician boards at associated metro-Denver Hospitals, as well as having been Chief Medical Officer and President of the medical staff at Colorado Acute Long Term Hospital (CALTH). He holds privileges at five hospitals in the Denver area and is the founder and president of Coal Creek Plastic Surgery and Coal Creek Ambulatory Surgery Center, in Lafayette, Colorado. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgeons (a member of the American Board of Medical Specialists). He is an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), and a member of the Wound Healing Society (WHS).

Dr. Herrmann graduated magna cum laude from the University of Colorado in Boulder, with a degree in Molecular Cellular and Developmental Biology. He also earned a Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences, and a Bachelor’s degree in German Language and Literature, and maintained studies in Biochemistry and Chemical Engineering. Dr. Herrmann then was awarded his medical degree at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver, subsequently completing residencies in General Surgery (University of Florida) and Plastic Reconstructive and Cosmetic Surgery (the University of Illinois at Chicago). During his residency training, he also completed a Plastic Surgery fellowship (University of Florida). Upon returning to the Front Range, he founded Coal Creek Plastic Surgery PC, Coal Creek Ambulatory Surgery Center PC, Colorado Wound and Ostomy Care PC, and co-founded Wound Solutions, Inc.

Dr. Herrmann is an expert in Cosmetic and Aesthetic surgery, being one of Colorado’s most respected providers in the field. During his career continuum, Dr. Herrmann is also a published author of medical articles and has developed a novel surgical approach to effectively achieve “closure” in complex wounds of various natures, called the Advanced Tissue Closure (ATC™). He has pioneered this technique in conjunction with the FLAP / ATC Program© that has the propensity to achieve closure in an exceptional number of referred patients who present with open wounds that have proven refractory to standard attempts at closure. Dr. Herrmann brings expertise and insight that have propelled this program to be one of the top-performing programs for high-risk patients with complex wounds in the country.

Glenn Herrmann enjoys spending time with his wife Gina, who is a pediatrician, as well as his son and two daughters. Collectively, the family is entrepreneurial and pursues various businesses, languages, health, travel, and balance in life.

  • Are certified by The American Board of Plastic Surgery® or The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada®.
